HOW nice to read about the Gateway Church in Acomb (Fresh air approach to Gateway nativity play, December 18).
They really made a good impression with the people, old and young, who were singing along, and some even doing a little jig.
I saw the notice about parcel wrapping, and as I am hopeless at this I decided to take my three along to be wrapped. As they were being done I looked around for a plate to show my appreciation, but was told it was all free, so with a cup of coffee and mince pie, it made my day, thank you all so much.
Giving rather than taking would make a much nicer world - we should have more of it these days.
My daughter had a nice surprise, with her presents being wrapped instead of coming in a plastic bag, so I had to tell her about Gateway! Thanks again to you all, God bless.
