We would like to thank the 70 or so people who attended the first of a new series of community conversation meetings in Haxby and Wigginton ward recently.
The meeting was very informative and the council is keen to work in partnership with the community to find solutions to the issues raised.
These included concern about lack of infrastructure such as drainage, car parking availability and a lack of green spaces. There was also discussion about the possibility of moving the local library to the Memorial Hall in the future.
We look forward to the next community conversation being held tomorrow in Westfield ward at the Gateway Centre in Acomb.
Coun James Alexander, Labour Leader of City of York Council, Coun Linsay Cunningham-Cross, Cabinet member for crime and stronger communities.
