RESIDENTS are being asked to give their views to charge developers for community improvements in a North Yorkshire district.
Hambleton District Council has begun a consultation on possible charges under the Community Infrastructure Levy, which is designed to raise money from new developments for schemes which councils and communities have earmarked as priorities.
These can include road schemes, park improvements or health centres.
Comments, which must be sent in by March 7, will be taken into account at an independent public examination in the summer and the council hopes to bring in the charges before the end of the year.
