Developments are under way at York’s St Leonard’s Hospice to further improve the environment in which its patients are cared for – and all its services will continue during the refurbishment.
Phase one of the work has begun and will see the hospice’s daycare facility receive a complete makeover which will include new thermally-efficient windows and skylights to bring extra light into the building. The work has been designed by architect Peter Bentley, of PEB Architects of Wetherby, and the contractor is Sorrell (York Ltd).
Insurance brokers P B Curran have helped ensure the necessary insurances for the work are in place the and day-to-day running of the project is in the hands of the hospice’s facilities manager John Bell.
