RISING Yorkshire cricket star Matty Fisher was a special guest at Love-cricket’s beginners and under-9s academy at York College.
The Sheriff Hutton Bridge youngster, who made his Tykes one-day debut last season at the age of 15, offered tips and advice to children at the Love-cricket session.
Love-cricket academy director George Brown said: “Matty is a source of inspiration for all our budding young cricketers to show what can be achieved with hard work, dedication and great natural talent.
“It gave our children a massive boost to see Matty coaching and offering advice, and it would be great to see some of them follow in his footsteps.”
Love-cricket runs courses for boys and girls aged six to 13. From mid-January new ten-week courses are being added to the programme at York College and Manor School.
