A STASH of distinctive jewellery found in Acomb has prompted police to appeal for the owners to come forward.

The jewellery was found by a member of the public dumped in Acomb and handed in to the police, and although officers have checked burglary records going back several months they have not been able to track down its rightful owners.

Now they have issued photos in the hope it will prompt the owners to come forward.

The jewellery includes a parrot brooch and several pieces of Queen’s silver jubilee memorabilia from 1977, as well as numerous other brooches, chains, pendants, rings, earring and bracelets.
