OUSEBURN United gained an impressive 3-0 home victory over Stamford Bridge to go joint-top of division three in the York Minster Engineering League.
Russell Robshaw netted to add to a Ben Jones double for Ouseburn, who are now level with leaders Sporting Knavesmire, who have a game in hand.
Huby’s resurgence continued as they followed up last week’s victory over Tadcaster Town with a 2-1 win over the same opposition. Joe Broughton and Ashley Innes hit the target for Huby, with Adam Dobson replying.
York Acorn ran out 4-2 winners over Crayke and moved up to third place.
Acorn raced into a two-goal lead, but George Revill and Matty Bilham equalised for the visitors.
Acorn then won the game with two goals in the last ten minutes.
Conner Larner bagged a brace for Acorn, with Wilson Briggs and Lee Jacobs also scoring.
South Milford closed the gap on division four leaders Kirkbymoorside with a 4-2 win at Selby Town.
Callum Roe Dixon and Jake Rastrick scored for Selby in the first half with the sides going in 2-2 at the break.
Selby had the better of the second period and gained victory with strikes from Charles Duffy (2), Jamie Potter and Glynn Harrison.
Jorvik Blades beat Wheldrake 3-1 with two goals from Danny Marshall and one from his brother, Alan, while Huntington crashed 6-1 at home to Cawood.
Melbourne sealed a 3-2 home win over LNER Builders with a double from Gedas Labanauski and a goal from Ben Corner. Sam Hill and Dean Machin scored for Builders.
