Winner: Stephen Pryce, Corner House
Runners up: One Stop Shop and James Nixon, Pets Pantry
Our judges were inundated with nominations for shops and services which had made life in the community a little easier with polite and friendly customer service.
James Nixon, of Pets Pantry in Huntington, always has time for his customers and staff alike and is known for being outstandingly helpful, while the staff at One Stop Shop offer a consistently cheery and friendly service.
But it was Stephen Pryce’s efforts at The Corner House in Clifton which really captured the attention of judges. Judges said: “Stephen has turned the business around and turned it into a friendly and welcoming place.”
Taking to the stage, to applause Stephen said modestly: “I love my job. I don’t think I deserve the award but it’s nice.”
