THE Millennium Bridge arches across the River Ouse beneath a glorious vermilion sky; a restored Holgate Windmill spreads its wings; and the gatehouse to Bishopthorpe Palace stands firm against the snows of winter.

Just three of the stunning images from the new St Leonard’s Hospice 2014 calendar, which is on sale now.

All the photographs were taken by members of York Camera Club. They show scenes from throughout the area covered by the hospice – including York, of course, but also Helmsley, Pocklington and Selby.

The camera club members have provided images for the calendar for the last three years, Camera club members have been out in all weathers throughout the year capturing images for the calendar.

About 80 were submitted for this year’s calendar, which were whittled down to 20 by club member Trevor Richardson. The Hospice then made its choice of the final 13 – one for each month, plus the cover.

* The St Leonard’s Hospice calendars are available, priced £3.50, from St Leonard’s Hospice shops in Acomb, Broadway, Haxby, Pocklington, Selby, Scarcroft Road and Tang Hall, from the hospice furniture shops in Acomb, Fulford and Selby, and from the hospice reception on Tadcaster Road.
