A WEDDING photographer with an addiction to pornography has admitted filming a 13-year-old girl having a shower, without her knowledge.

Duncan Langtree, 46, twice put a mobile phone to a bathroom keyhole and recorded the girl, York magistrates were told.

He told police he downloaded the films to his computer because he was curious about what he might see.

Langtree, now of Bottom Boat Lane, Stanley, Wakefield, pleaded guilty to two charges of voyeurism and two of making an indecent film of a child.

All the crimes were committed when Langtee was in a house in York.

His case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report and he was released on conditional bail.

Martin Butterworth, prosecuting, said Langtree’s actions came to light after one of the films was found on his computer.

For Langtree, Kevin Blount said he was near the bathroom when he accidentally saw a “flash of something” through the door’s keyhole which led him to commit the offences.

“He has not been able to see anything through the keyhole, so simply held his phone to the keyhole to record images to see what he could see on the computer,” said Mr Blount.

“There was no intention of keeping these images. He set to deleting them immediately and the offences came to light because he didn’t delete one properly.”

Langtree had been addicted to pornography for some years but had never viewed anything illegal. Police had seized and searched several computers when they arrested him, but had not found any other illegal images.

He was receiving counselling for his addiction to pornography, the court heard.

Langtree will return to York Magistrates’ Court on September 25 to learn his fate. His bail conditions included no unsupervised contact with any child under 16 and no contact of any kind with the girl.
