Cueball won 5-2 against Tramways ‘A’ in their York Black Sheep Mixed Darts League winter season opener.
Paul Kennelly and Flo Crampton won the first pairs game before Cueball hit back to win all the individuals with excellent scoring from Dean and Ellen Platt, and Mark Lee and Di Moreland.
Champions Tramways ‘B’ won 4-3 with 23 and 25-dart legs from Chris Mathews.
Denise Fowler won her individual tie, which forced Tramways to wait until the last leg in which Sharon Neads hit a 180 to take the match.
Newcomers Falcon (Tadcaster) took Golden Slipper to the last game.
Mal Smith and Rachel Sykes bagged a pairs leg, then Mal Smith and Kev Newsome (121, 100, 140) won their individual matches, while Doreen Johnstone and Tony Weatherstone excelled for Golden Slipper.
There is one free space left in the league, so any teams wishing to fill the slot should phone Paul on 07508 944095.
