BAD hair will be the order of the day for youngsters at a York school in a bid to fundraise for charity.
Children at Woodthorpe Primary School are looking to hold a bad hair day as part of Hair for Hospices, an appeal raising money for St Leonard’s Hospice.
Hair for Hospices is a nationwide event that takes place in October and encourages everyone to do something different with their hair and make a donation to their local hospice.
Claire Reynolds, assistant special needs coordinator at Woodthorpe, said: “We’ve helped St Leonard’s before, and we’re happy to take part in Hair for Hospices.
“We hope lots of other people will join us in October, too.”
To get involved, phone St Leonard’s on 01904 777777 for more ideas. Money raised will go straight to the hospice’s work of caring for local people with life-threatening illnesses.
