I WISH to highlight the requirements for traffic awareness within the village of Buttercrambe.
We are subject to traffic speeding through the village at all times of the day and night, and especially at weekends.
The 30mph signs appear to be invisible to some drivers coming through the village, some in excess of 50mph.
I have lived here since March and have had so many near misses when turning into and out of my drive, riding my horses and walking the dog to the post box, I have lost count.
Perhaps the mobile speed camera unit should visit the village to encourage drivers to read the signs.
A serious accident could then be avoided, rather than added to the statistics.
