ENGLAND Golf has named the team which will challenge for gold at the European ladies’ amateur team championship to be staged at York’s Fulford Golf Club from July 9 to 13.
The six players are: Sarah-Jane Boyd, Hayley Davis (Ferndown), Europe’s current number one player Georgia Hall, (Remedy Oak), Bronte Law (Bramhall), Meghan MacLaren (Wellingborough) and Lauren Taylor (Woburn).
England, who are coached by Sandburn Hall GC head professional Steve Robinson and captained by Malton & Norton GC ace Emma Brown, will take on 19 teams and will be aiming to win gold for the first time in 20 years.
It is only the third time in the championship’s 50-year history that the event has been held in England and is the biggest event at Fulford for more than two decades.
