PHILLIP Murphy, of the Wetherby Whaler group of fish and chip restaurants, hands over a cheque to Gerry Sayers after more than £5,000 was raised for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The restaurants, in York, Wetherby, Guiseley, Pudsey and Wakefield, adopted the charity and encouraged customers to donate their loose change.
Kerry Garner, regional fundraiser with the charity, said: “The Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charity is very grateful to have the support of the Wetherby Whaler restaurants to help contribute towards the £9,990 needed every day to keep the helicopters flying and saving lives.”
