A NEW list providing details of events and activities for people with special needs has been launched in York.
Learning disability charity Netbuddy has unveiled the UK’s first “what’s on” list of information for parents and carers whose children, family and friends have special needs.
It will run alongside City of York Council’s own information scheme which allows people to register for local updates and receive a free Max Card giving them discounted access to activities across the country.
Coun Linsay Cunningham-Cross said: “Giving people of all abilities access to clubs, groups, events and activities is vital to enriching their lives as well as helping them actively participate in and contribute to the life of their community.”
Details can be found at netbuddy.org.uk/events and yor-ok.org.uk.
