A NEIGHBOURHOOD Watch scheme in East Yorkshire is being relaunched after a five-year gap.
Beverley’s Neighbourhood Watch Policing Team has supported the revival of the initiative in Woodmansey and villagers have been invited to a meeting this month where it will officially restart.
Villagers Christine Theakston and Janet Lewin agreed to be co-ordinators if the group had sufficient support and a questionnaire sent around the area by community and neighbourhood watch support officer Julie Llewellyn produced a positive response.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday during the regular coffee morning at the residents’ lounge in Shopeth Way, Woodmansey, at 10.15am and is open to all residents.
More information is available at eastriding.gov.uk or by phoning Julie on 01482 391013.
