YOUNGSTERS from St Wilfrid’s RC Primary School in York showcased their short stories at the city’s central library, York Explore.
Year 6 youngsters at the school in Monkgate have been working on their pieces for the last few months.
They advertised them in the main entrance, giving away copies for customers to read and chatting to library users about what they had been doing.
Dan Jones, teacher, said: “The children’s stories show incredible imagination. I’m delighted they were able to share them with the library users. Hopefully, the pupils will have stories of their own on the shelves of the library in years to come.”
The children will now sell them at the school summer fair on Friday, July 5, from 5pm.
