MICHELLE BRITTON was in top form as Five Lions beat Tramways 9-2 in division one of the York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League.

Britton fired a superb 20-dart leg in the singles and then teamed up with Anne Bass for a 21-darter.

Tramways’ only points came from Carole Layne and captain Sue Lowery.

Close rivals Cueball ‘B’ had Sue Turpin gaming in 23 darts, including two 140s, while Tracey Farmeary sealed victory before Sammy Endersby put Acomb on the scoresheet.

Burnholme returned from Slipper with an 8-3 win, Sarah Jackson leading the charge with a 140.

Slipper’s Ann Parkyn won both her matches.

Magnet were 8-3 victors at Bootham Club. Maggie Tottie, Sandra Bruce and Denise Fowler set the visitors off before Jackie Clemit and Janet Foster replied.

Flossy Crampton restored the advantage before Fowler and Tottie combined to secure match points.

Despite being a player light, Cueball ‘A’ only narrowly lost to Marcia, who had Babs Harrison and Carol Perrett snatching victory in the final leg.

Marcia Grey kept their chance of division two honours alive with an 8-3 win over Leeman.

Chris Pebbles, Maggie Bedingham, Tracey Scurr, Emma Barker and Rosie Hattee won the match before Debbie Witts scored for Leeman.

Severus ‘B’ nipped into second position after cleaning up in the pairs to beat Sun 8-3.

Edinburgh are level on points with Sev after hitting back from 4-0 down to snatch a 7-4 win at Jubilee.

Brenda Dawe, Angela Lancaster, Laura Heward and Julie Oliver put Jubilee in control, but Anthea Jamieson kick-started the revival and Pat Jamieson teamed up with Emma Wheatley to pinch it.

Vicky McClaren aand Kath Powell gave Woolpack a 4-3 advantage at home to Shoulder ‘B’, but Joyce Kane and Sue Gillon set up a decider and Natalie Whitehead and Paula Allen won it for the visitors.
