STARS from television soap Emmerdale took to the stage at York’s Grand Opera House to perform at the York Rocks Against Cancer fundraising concert.
The cast members past and present formed the folk-rock group Edna’s Hat, which features vocalists Sian Reese Williams, who plays Gennie Walker, and Tom Lister, who played Carl King until his murder in the live episode last December.
The event on Saturday night was hosted by Tony Audenshaw, alias Emmerdale’s Bob Hope.
Organiser Graham Bradbury said: “This is one of the major fundraising events of the year for York Against Cancer with money going towards the newly acquired respite holiday flat in Whitby.”
