A MAN has suffered a head injury after being knocked unconscious in a city-centre attack in York.
North Yorkshire Police said a group of people were involved in a fight on Nessgate Corner, near Spurriergate, between 2.05am and 2.15am on Saturday, with the victim - believed to be in his late teens - being punched to the floor.
He was unconscious for a while and suffered a wound to the back of his head which needed hospital treatment. Police said some of those involved in the fight were then seen walking away from the city-centre.
