RATHER than putting their feet up for Father’s Day, more than 260 York men took part in an all-male charity run at Rowntree Park to help fund research into prostate and male cancers at Yorkshire Cancer Research’s University of York laboratory.
Last year’s R U Taking The P? event raised more than £12,000 despite having 100 fewer runners.
The 5k race was organised by pals Brian Hughes, pictured, and Richard Smith, of the York Knavesmire Harriers.
Mr Hughes said yesterday: “It was brilliant.”
