Nine lucky Year Six pupils from Sheriff Hutton primary school jetted off for a week-long visit to Sweden.
The school has been building up a strong link with Gadden Scholan School in Gottenburg through the pupils’ regular exchange of letters and pictures.
The pupils from Sweden first visited their York friends for a week in October last year.
In Sweden, the Sheriff Hutton pupils, accompanied by their teacher Jon Fewliss and two teaching assistants, have spent time sight-seeing and taking on a boat trip.
Headmistress Bev Stell said: “The link with the school, and having the chance for them to go over there, gives the children an exciting opportunity to experience a range of culture.”
