ACCORDING to a report, eight elderly people died every hour last winter because they couldn't afford to keep warm.
Staggering as it seems, the average gas and electricity bill this year is expected to be more than £1,000. I couldn't afford that, yet alone the elderly.
If this is the case, the various energy companies which made vast profits last winter will have more deaths on their hands.
