HISCOX, the global insurance business which is to open new offices in York, has already recruited about 100 staff.
The business, which is based in Mallard House, in Peasholme Green, while it builds new offices on land in Hungate, expects the staff to join the business from June.
Managing director Steve Langan, who visited the city yesterday, said the York office would be a centre for best practice in customer service and a hub for innovation.
