Youngsters from Stockton Lane Playgroup help open Asda’s new Click And Collect service
A PLAYGROUP from York helped launch a local supermarket’s latest initiative.
Children from Stockton Lane Playgroup joined staff at Asda’s Click And Collect Drive Thru at Monk’s Cross last week, which allows online shoppers to park up, enter a delivery code, and have their order brought to their car.
Asda York store manager Brian Appleton said the scheme would help parents picking up their children from schools and playgroups.
He said: “It allows our customers in York to be the first to use our new and convenient Click And Collect Drive Thru. We’ve built it so we can offer the click and collect service for those customers who want the flexibility to pick up their orders on the way home from work or the school run.”
