The York Black Sheep Brewery Mixed Darts League summer season started with Golden Slipper ‘A’ whitewashing their ‘B’ team 7-0.
The victory included a 27-dart 501 leg from Doreen Johnstone.
Tramways ‘B’ lost out 4-3 to Corner Pin, with Steve Mann firing two 140s in the team game.
Steve Soulsby added a 26-dart leg for Corner Pin and Chris Mathews replied with a 21-darter for Tramways ‘B’. Pack of Cards lost 4-3 to Railway Institute despite legs of 18 – including a 140 and a 117 checkout – and 21 darts from John Smith, while Steve Elliott hit 140 and 135 in a 19-dart leg.
In a rearranged game, Tramways ‘A’ beat Golden Slipper ‘B’ 6-1.
The win included a 22-dart leg from Gaz Witty.
Sadie Ducey replied with a 24-darter for Slipper ‘B’.
