DOREEN JOHNSTONE fired in a 103 checkout to help Slipper to a 7-4 victory at Shoulder ‘A’ in division one of the York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League.

Johnstone closed with treble 20, three, double top to give Slipper a 4-2 advantage after Shoulder had led 2-0.

The visitors were seen home by Johnstone and Vicky Middleton.

Five Lions’ Anne Bass starred in a 10-1 win at Cueball ‘A’.

She closed on 70 with a bull checkout in her singles then hit a maximum in the pairs with Jill Reed.

Lions were denied a total clearance by Cueball captain Faye Hawksby.

Muriel Britton also shone for Lions with scores of 140 and 125.

Cueball ‘B’ left Marcia with an 8-3 win.

The teams were tied 3-3 entering the pairs but the visitors cleared up with captain Tracey Farmeary and vice-captain Bev Harton gaming in 23 darts.

Jo Hodges won the opening leg for Tramways at Burnholme, who hit back through Jane Dobson, Marj Pearson and Lynn Willstrop.

Kerry Goodall, and Karen Alton levelled, then Alton was joined by captain Sue Lowery to edge the visitors in front. Dobson and Willstrop set up the decider, where Pearson and Neads secured a 7-4 victory for Burnholme.

Jackie Calpin was in ton mode as she guided Bootham Club to an 8-3 result against visitors Acomb, while Severus ‘A’ won by the same margin at Magnet, with Davina Shannon hitting the big scores.

In division two, Shoulder ‘B’ brushed aside Green Tree, winning all the pairs in the process.

Marcia Grey’s Rosie Hattee closed on 86 in their 9-2 win over Severus ‘B’.

A bull finish from Brenda Dawe was a rare high spot for Jubilee in their 8-3 defeat by Woolpack.

Edinburgh were prevented from a full house by Leeman’s Debbie Witts.

Ox came on strong in the pairs to take home an 8-3 win from Sun.
