IF a job is worth doing, it's worth doing well and Depeche Mode set the standard when it comes to reissues.
This is the second instalment of the Mode's acclaimed remasters series to mark the group's 25-year anniversary, following Speak And Spell, Music For The Masses and Violator.
These immaculately created special editions are collector's items, complete with exclusive bonus material, all the B-sides from the singles, revived artwork and rare footage on the accompanying DVDs.
All this and the music - the most important bit after all - has been digitally remastered and remixed in 5.1 surround sound to give it a wonderfully crisp, technicolour sound.
The uninitiated may well do better with the new Best Of collection, but hardcore fans of the dark overlords of electro-pop need look no further for a Christmas stocking filler.
