IN REPLY to Mrs M Robinson (Why move them? Letters, April 23), madam have you not grasped yet that our university takes precedence over anything we as mere citizens may require.

They have but to ask and it shall be done. Students cannot be expected to walk for a bus it has to be placed in a prime spot (otherwise, they, as intelligent beings won’t find it).

They also need shuttle buses that run like ants, mostly empty, back and forth all day long. Sorry, Mrs Robinson, as a York resident you have no rights.

Rita Crombleholme, Deramore Drive, York.
