A MAN wanted by police has been arrested after officers spotted him travelling as a passenger in a car in York.
Police spotted the man on Thursday in a car in Bridge Street.
Officers followed the vehicle and stopped it in High Ousegate.
The wanted person, a 27-year-old man, was arrested in connection with the theft of two bottles of vodka from the Co-op store in East Parade, Heworth, on February 8.
He was later charged with theft and is due to appear at York Magistrates’ Court on May 8.
