WIGGINTON Grasshoppers Junior Football Club are looking to form under-10s and under-11s girls’ teams.
The club are holding an open day on Saturday, April 27, from 10am to 11am, at Wigginton Playing Fields, off Mill Lane, for girls who will be in school Years 4 and 6 from September.
Players of all abilities are welcome to attend. There is no need for players to wear boots for this first session.
The club are also looking for new coaches to help coach the girls.
• Wigginton are staging their annual junior football tournament at Mill Lane on Saturday, May 4, starting at 9.30am.
The seven-a-side competition caters for teams at under-7s, U8s and U9s, with a maximum of ten players in each squad. The entry fee is £25 per team.
