A SECOND man has been arrested after masked raiders threatened a shopkeeper and demanded cash at a village store.
Two men in balaclavas entered Eggborough Stores in Selby Road at about 6am on Monday, demanded cash from the till and threatened shop owner Jean Kinnear with a wooden pole. Her husband, Ian, then wrestled one of them to the ground.
A 21-year-old man has been charged with attempted robbery and is due in court next month.
Yesterday police said a 27-year-old local man was arrested just after 3pm on Tuesday, at an address in Kellington near Goole. He has been released on bail to allow for further inquiries.
