WHAT a difference a famous face makes.
Yorkshire Air Ambulance was always struggling to raise funds. Then Richard Hamster' Hammond had his near-fatal crash at Elvington. The air ambulance helped save his life - and now the presenter's fans have raised £235,000 as a thank you.
The money will be used towards the cost of a second chopper - one with night-flying capabilities. It will undoubtedly save Yorkshire lives. So, many thanks, Hamster. We wish you a full and speedy recovery.
