POLIO sufferers from across the region got the chance to see York's hidden treasures - thanks to the army.
About 24 members of the Polio Fellowship Yorkshire visited the city as part of an annual meeting and took part in a treasure hunt with members of 2 Signal Regiment, based at Imphal Barracks.
Members of the regiment pushed members round the streets in their wheelchairs on the hunt for clues.
Organiser Jan Taylor said it had been the first year the treasure hunt had taken place and it had been a huge success.
Mrs Taylor, vice-chairman of the Polio Fellowship Yorkshire, said: "Our members thought it was absolutely brilliant as they got to see parts of York they might never have got to see without the Army."
