THE contract to complete a £100 million housing scheme at Derwenthorpe in York has been awarded to David Wilson Homes, the company which carried out the first phase of work.
The Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust says it awarded the contract following a competitive tender process and that the builder will now work on phases two, three and four of the scheme.
Nigel Ingram, of the trust: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with an award-winning house-builder that has a proven track record in delivering high-quality homes.”
Paul Newman, managing director of David Wilson Yorkshire East: “The first phase of homes at Derwenthorpe have proved to be a roaring success and we are confident that we will continue to see huge interest in the next phases as more and more buyers are searching for a high quality, sustainable property in a highly sought-after location.”
