A firefighter inspects the damage in the drying room at the care home in Sherburn-In-Elmet
FIRE crews were called to a residential home at Finkle Hill after a tumble dryer caught fire.
Fire engines from Tadcaster and Garforth were sent to the scene, where they found the drying room well alight on arrival.
The gas board and electrical company carried out an inspection after the fire was put out at 2.45pm.
A fire service spokeswoman said nobody had been hurt in the fire.
