Kirk Norcross has quit 'The Only Way is Essex' after deciding the ITV2 reality show has "changed too much" for him to remain on the programme.

Kirk Norcross has quit 'The Only Way is Essex'.

The 24-year-old star took to his Twitter account this morning (21.03.13) to reveal he has left the ITV2 reality show with immediate effect because the programme had "changed too much" for him to stick around.

He wrote: "Jst 2 let every 1 no I have walked away from #TOWIE and will not be returning, the show had changed 2 mch! I will let u no the details soon (sic)"

Following his shock announcement, the club promoter was clearly in a relaxed mood as his father Mick Norcross - who quit the show earlier this month - posted a picture on Twitter of his son out feeding the ducks.

In a message accompanying the image, he wrote: "@kirk_official at one with nature feeding the ducks #springishere ! X (sic)"

Kirk previously quit 'TOWIE' following the third series in 2011 and went on to appear in Channel 5 reality show 'Celebrity Big Brother' in January 2012, finishing ninth behind several stars including retired rugby player Gareth Thomas, former 'X Factor' contestant Frankie Cocozza and eventual winner Denise Welch.

Kirk then returned to 'TOWIE' in September 2012 for series seven and has appeared in the current eighth series, which started in February this year.

Mick quit the show earlier this month after being left furious with show bosses for using his Sugar Hut nightclub as a battleground for stars of the programme to argue with each other.
