I KNOW all the rugby fans were in mourning after England lost out to Wales last Saturday, but I was full of admiration for the way both teams belted out their national anthems at the beginning, leaving you in no doubt that, win or lose, they were proud to be representing their country.
When England’s footballers play their world-cup qualifier tomorrow, I guarantee half won’t be singing, most don’t even know the words.
I think one time Wayne Rooney was warbling Three Blind Mice, but on reflection that was probably aimed at the ref and his two linesmen!
