For a long time the Government has campaigned against the low price of drinks available in supermarkets and the happy hours and special offers available in public houses.

They claim that such cheap drinks fuel disorderly conduct, are a drain on the NHS and take up valuable police time.

In view of recent and past events in the Houses of Parliament bars, perhaps the Government should turn its attention nearer to home. The cheaper drinks in these bars are subsidised by the tax payer, the very same people who the government are trying to price out of drinking.

A clear case of the pot calling the kettle black.
