Jessie Ware was amazed to learn Frank Ocean is a fan of her work after she struck up conversation with his brother at the BRIT Awards, and her introduced her as soon as he found out who she was.

Jessie Ware was amazed Frank Ocean is a fan of her music.

The 'Sweet Talk' singer was too nervous to approach the rapper at the BRIT Awards last month, so struck up a conversation with his brother - and was stunned when her new friend quickly took her over to the US star to be introduced.

She said: "I was chatting to Frank Ocean's brother as I couldn't bear to be that person who goes over to him. So I was chatting to his brother and I said my name and he was like, 'Jessie Ware? Frank's a big fan you know, come and meet him.' So I did and he hugged me. It was amazing."

The 28-year-old singer - who was nominated for Best Female Solo Artist and Best Breakthrough at the awards - admitted the whole star-studded evening felt like something from a Hollywood blockbuster.

She told The Sun newspaper: "It did feel really grand. It was weird for me as people I really admire came up to me and said nice things. The Universal records afterparty was mad too. I remember thinking it felt like we were in a scene out of 'Batman' in Gotham City."
