I must say the letters pages are just not the same without a certain gentleman singing the praises of...yes, you guessed it – Germany.
I bet the lady in Tadcaster is pleased about the sudden silence, but I do miss his views through heavily rose-tinted glasses concerning the Vaterland! Music to only one of my ears (I hold dual-nationality) and however “Over The Top” they often were and rarely did I agree, they definitely never were boring, stimulating discussion and managing to “rattle a few cages” at the same time. In short: Great stuff.
Come back, Mr Quarrie – all is forgiven.
