About the Golf Club

OAKDALE is one of the premier golf clubs in the North of England and, as such, visitors and societies are guaranteed to receive a warm welcome both on and off the course.

Established in 1914 and designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie, of Leeds, Oakdale offers an opportunity to savour a unique mix of moorland and parkland golf.

Situated in Harrogate, Oakdale is known locally for its friendly atmosphere.

The course has a par of 71 and is 6,484 yards for gentlemen and 5,513 yards for ladies with a par of 72.

Its main feature is the local Oak Beck, which meanders alongside the tenth fairway and in front of the ninth and 18th greens, thus ensuring a high level of concentration when playing approaches and tee shots.

Visitors can look forward to an immaculate 18-hole course providing a challenging game to golfers of all levels in beautiful surroundings.

A practice ground with chipping area, chipping/putting green and driving net area are also available for use by members and visitors alike.

The elegant clubhouse is comfortably furnished, with a bar, snooker room, sun lounge, dining room and panoramic balcony which overlooks the golf course.
