RESIDENTS in a village near Selby have been urged to remain vigilant after thieves stole heating oil from a house.
The theft happened in Hirst Courtney at about 10.50am on Tuesday. Offenders were seen leaving in a white Citroen panel van in the direction of Carlton. The rear registration plate of the van was T438 VSF.
