STAMFORD Bridge extended their lead at the top of the City of York Girls’ Football League Under-13s Championship with a 2-0 win at Wetherby.
Captain Emma Nelson hit a post in the 11th minute, but it took Bridge until the last minute of the first half to go in front through midfielder Ellie Parkin.
Goalkeeper and player of the match Georgia Stanton’s long clearance found Jess Wills and she scored the second.
