BURGLARS were disturbed by the householder after breaking into a property in Romanby, Northallerton.
The thieves fled empty-handed after forcing open a door at the rear of the house in Pennine View, on Monday.
PC Quita Passmore said: “This has naturally left the person who disturbed the burglars very shaken.”
