THIEVES stole a pedigree ewe from a field near Selby.
The ewe, which is due to lamb within days, was taken from a field in Fairfield Lane, Hillam overnight on Saturday.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said it was the second time sheep had been stolen from that location in recent weeks, and urged anyone with information to phone them on 101.
