WHATEVER is happening to the value of our pound? I don’t know if anybody else has noticed, but it is sinking daily against the so-unpopular euro, the currency that needed rescue packages like no other currency before and the currency that was predicted to fail ever since it was created.

I understand why the euro may be under pressure with failing economies such as Greece, Spain and Italy sharing it, but what is our excuse?

As a stand-alone currency, surely the pound should be able to weather the storms?

If I remember correctly, it was the euro that was doomed to fail, not the pound. Any answers?
