HERE is a pat on the back for Thompson’s fish restaurant on Malton Road.
I took my grandsons there at Saturday tea time after a visit to the panto in Hull. The eldest, aged six, didn’t want anything we suggested. We tried for about ten minutes, then his mother said, “Let him starve, then” and we ordered.
Here comes the pat: the waitress mouthed “will bring a spare plate”. Needless to say he ate off all our plates and enjoyed it.
The meals, by the way, were excellent and even after giving the grandson enough for his needs, we were full to bursting. Might I also add my gammon and my daughter’s scampi plates looked like works of art.
Well done all round.
