A YOUNG North Yorkshire dancer has landed a part in a prestigious ballet production.
Phoebe Tomlinson, 13, a Year Nine pupil at Easingwold School who lives in Tollerton, is dancing with Northern Ballet in The Nutcracker at Leeds Grand Theatre, which runs until tomorrow.
Phoebe is in the third year of her training with Northern Ballet on the CAT programme (Centre for Advanced Training), a programme that offers professional classical dance training to students.
Phoebe, who hopes to become a professional ballerina, started having ballet lessons with Andrea Ferrebee in York.
Claire Tighe, who runs the local ballet school in Tollerton, Sutton and Easingwold, who spotted her potential suggested she audition for the Northern Ballet’s professional programme.
Phoebe also enjoys Latin and ballroom dancing with the LCA Academy under Lauren Day.
